I've been looking for a good inexpensive coaster brake hub for my newest project and
was wondering if anybody could recommend any.
I have already looked at the Sturmey Archer singlespeed
coaster hub, it seems ok.

i was looking for a 700c coaster brake hub and was referred to NYC bikes by someone here for this whole wheel setup featuring a quality shimano unit. i bought a set in blue for a girls ss bike i built. they look amazing and are reasonably priced and seem well built. i test rode it and it was a really cool little bike (used an old small nishiki frame i found for cheap and some bmx handle bars). when i applied the brake in the rear it felt really weird...like the whole wheel itself was flexing and fish tailing a bit but when i inspected it it was totally solid, no loose spokes or anything...i'm 190 lbs right now so maybe it was just a bit too much to ask of a thin wheel's coaster with no front brake. anyway, she's five months into owning the bike i built and rides it on weekends and LOVES it.
