Cranksets come w/ crank bolts?

Do aftermarket cranksets such as FSA come with crank bolts? Having exclusively used Campy components/cranks only I thought bolts came with all cranksets but I didn't get any with my new Stella Azzura Guizzo crankset.

Depends entirely on the crankset. Some cranks do even when others by the same manufacturer don't.

I have never seen a Stella Azzurra crank come with bolts for what it's worth.

Did your bottom bracket come with them? If so, you should use the ones that came with your bottom bracket anyways.

No, Campy BBs do not come with bolts. I guess I'll have to order a set.

I don't see the point of not including a set of bolts with a crankset though as if everyone have some extra ones laying around. Afterall the crankset was Campy BB specific....

Funny, I guess I am one of those rare exceptions that has about 8 or 9 spare sets laying around....

Last year I bought a FSA Team Carbon crank and Ultimax Platinum Pro BB. The crank came with bolts, but the BB did as well. The thing is that the bolts needed for the BB were a larger diameter than the ones with crank, so those are the ones I used. But every time I have bought a Shimano BB, they come with bolts, and every high end Shimano crankset also tends to come with bolts. The lower end ones often don't. So over time, I aquired a few extra sets. On top of that I use a set of steel bolts to tighten my cranks onto the BB spindle, but then put in alloy bolts after the crank is on. So I have a few sets of Hershey and SRP alloy bolts and I think I have a set of Ti bolts somewhere around the house too. Just don't know where they went.

Weird, huh?
