I am trying to identify an old peugeot, sorry I cannot post pictures right now. It is white with black front lugs, mavic tubular rims, normandy high flange hubs, cottered crank, suntour bar end shifters, mafac racer brakes, mafac brake lever with white plastic body, ideal leather seat, suntour front der, simplex rear der, and a decal that says tube special allege peugeot.

Tubies makes me think it might be a PX-10- my old UO-8 came with clincher rims, but there are a bunch of PX-10 web pages out there with pix you can compare your bike to...

I think I figured it out. I found a catalog scan from 1974, and it looks like it is a PA10E. The only difference is the bar end shifters, and suntour front deralleur. From looking at the frame I can see a mark left from the old derailleur.
