How to identify which SRAM Red year?

Hi experts...

I'm considering buying this bike used from an individual in my city:

SUPERSIX EVO 2 RED

2 questions:
1. Which model year of SRAM Red do you think this is? 2011? I've read that 2011 SRAM Red has a crummy FD and a noisy cassette, both of which were greatly improved in the 2012 model year. If this bike has 2011 Red, that makes it less valuable to me. Is it possible to replace the FD and cassette with newer model years and effectively make SRAM Red 2011 into something better? Would that be expensive?

2. The bike has only 500mi on it and is all stock except that the wheels are upgraded to Roval Rapide carbon clinchers that the owner is including. Not sure which ones. He's also including 2 carbon bottle cages and some Look pedals. Asking price is $2600 for the whole package. Seems like a square deal for this hi-mod frame and Rapide wheels. Agree?

Thanks for opinions!

Worst case it is a 2012 I think, and used bicyclebluebook.com indicates excellent condition 2700.00.

you should get to that site and make sure it is the same.right bike and not go by what I said.

But with the other wheels, I have to say yes. i can not speak to what year and what the SRAM groups are, I do Shimano, and barely keep up with that, still running cables and 10 speed. ;)

I based what I said on it being this bike: 2012 Cannondale SuperSix EVO (Red) - New and Used Bike Value

looks like a Gen1 Evo- when they released them in late 2011 as a 2012 model... the shifters and derailleur are 2011 spec (looks like Sram Red Black edition to me, just with the Cannondale green highlights). The 2012 (early 2012-late 2012) already had the Yaw groupset<- different shifters and derailleurs.

Oh, and the reason I know this.... I had just gotten my 2011 Supersix Himod with Sram red like 2 months before this one came out.... I was kinda mad LOL!

Its 2011 with the older levers/hoods and the older ti fd cage.

Doesn't mean that it is guaranteed to suck. You can easily just swap it with the new yaw fd or even the steel cage red or force fd to get improved shifting.

Also, there are people asking that much for just the frame alone so seems like a solid deal. Unless the frame is damaged anywhere but that might be hard to spot if they covered it up which could be pretty easy to do with some touchup paint.
