They still have life on them. Plenty I would say.
400miles???
I put 200-250 miles per week. 200lbs 5"11' strong rider and my rings last 2 years.
Those rings have a good 1 year or more left.
When you install it if it starts skipping while you sprint or go up a hill pushing hard it is time to change them.
I doubt those would do that.

I agree with you guys in that...they definitely are still usable. BUT advertised as 400-500 miles? I am not great at estimating the miles on these, but having looked at my current rings on my bike, which have at least 2000 miles on them and they look not much different than these [emoji51]

Like I said before 400 miles is pushing it a bit. I would say at least 1k and heavy rider or more and light rider

I would approach this in two ways.
How much are you saving from cheapest new price online?
How many miles do you get out of a brand new set?
Is the ratio of money to possible miles acceptable?
Let's say for me...I get out of mine 2 years of use at 200 mpweek and the ring brand new costs me 150$. you assume they are at half life which is a safe assumption.
How much are the rings new? For it to be cost effective they would have to cost less than 75$. So the question is are you really saving money? Or just making a bad decision.
Personally I buy them new and don't even look at used unless they still look like new. Like new is practically new. Those are not.
If I were you I wouldn't even bother unless they were 30-40 bucks. That would offset any issues and risk I would be willing to take.
