Go for a doctor - it may be a sign of a heart disease (especially as it occurs by riding longer and harder than usually).

Heart issues are not purely genetical. And heart issues is the third among most common causes of heartburn (while with big gap to the first two). What you said somewhat reduces its probability in your case - but do not eliminate its completely. So make a check - better safe than sorry

My entire breakfast was 1 egg, 1 toast, the coffee and an apple..
I dare say not enough for a good ride.
Then 10 minutes later I started to ride..
As Kerry Iron pointed already - too short interval between the breakfast and the ride. As for the breakfast by itself - I have 2 suspects, the creamer and the apple.
BTW last week, my friend and I stopped during our ride at a 7-11, I bought tums and ate a banana...
It went away... Wouldn't that be a sign it was just heartburn and NOT heart problems??
May be yes (if it has gone from banana and tums), may be no (if it has gone simply from more or less prolonged stop).
 
There is absolutely no scientific proof that coffee is in some way unhealthy (if consumed in moderation), rather opposite is proven.

The something-like 10 years old publications on the coffee risks are no more considered as valid (low quality data collection/processing).

i would bet almost anything that the coffee is at the root of your problem. there are other, less acidic ways to get caffiene - most gels have it in them, you could even try nodoz or something like that.
or take the time to let your body re-adjust to life w/o so much caffeine, you may find that you actually have more energy without it. caffeine is a highly addictive substance and the body's tolerance to it increases extremely rapidly.
if you aren't willing to make some lifestyle adjustments for the benefit of your health you may encounter more serious problems later in life...

That is not completely true for several reasons
  1. Digesting rate highly depends on what exactly you are eating
  2. 3 or 4 hours is not when digesting brings its first outcome, but when digesting is completed (it is not the same)
  3. Ride time counts as well and if you eat 1 hour before 4 or 5 hours ride, guess when your 4 "digesting" hours would expire.
  4. Body is able to release reserves when it knows that a "new fuel" is in
  5. Following your logic any eating during a ride is senseless. But each of us knows that it is not so.

Your link represents a personal opinion of one nutritionist (or gastroenteritis or whatever) - it is not a result of any scientific researches.

The whole idea is not new (it may be traced at least to 1920s) and reasoning sounds good the randomized control trials does not support it. :mad2:
