Hey, all, I am just wanting to find out more information about this bike. I currently have a CAAD9, which I love, and a Jamis supernova CX, that I am fine with.

I have the itch for something new, and the CAAD12 has caught my eye, and while it would be better, it would be a lot of money to just be an incremental upgrade. My CAAD9 has sram red shifters, hollowgram SL cranks, etc, and it weighs under 15.5lbs with pedals. It would be an expensive upgrade.

The caad is slammed, and not terribly comfy, so I was thinking I could replace the Jamis CX with a CX bike that is a little more relaxed, and a taller head tube, and then use that as my daily driver unless I am racing or Strava hunting, and then I can take out the CAAD. I have a buddy with a Cronus road bike, and the ION seems to share some of its geometry, etc.

I am just looking to see some opinions of anyone who has owned one. Also looking at the Diamondback Haanjo(original, not the new crazy 27.5 carbon creature).

thanks!

If you are looking for a CX bike with more relaxed geometry, you may want to look into a gravel/adventure bike instead. CX bikes are usually "slammed" as you put it. There are some very good options in the gravel/adventure bike category:

The Jamis Renegade has piqued my interest and I would really like to take a test ride on it.

I have a custom built Trek ION CX and I like the bike a lot. I bought it used with Ultegra 10 speed components and Bontrager RL wheels. I don't actually use it for cyclocross, but I've ridden it many miles on roads and gravel trails and I have no complaints. Heck, because it has 700x32 tires on it, it's more comfortable to ride than my Domane :blush2:

Probably the only thing I'd like it to have is internally routed cables to make it easier to clean. My wife's Crockett has internally routed cables and I think the Crockett replaced the ION in the aluminum Trek CX line.
