None of my screwdrivers seem to fit my chainring bolts (inside slot). My LBS does not carry the Park chainring bolt tool, so before I pay shipping for a $3 tool.....

Is there a specific screwdriver at Dome Hepot that will fit the slots on the back of my Shimano chainrings?

Do you Loctite or grease chainring bolts when installing?

Thx

Special tool

A screwdriver that is wide enough to span a chainring bolt will be to "fat" to fit into the slots. You would have to grind the blade to make it fit. A better choice might be to just cut a piece of steel stock. You don't need a lot of force to hold the nut in place while turning the bolt. Grease the threads and the shoulders of the nut and bolt where they will touch the chain rings.
