First off, I have three firsts to tell you.

This is my first post on road bike review
my first road bike,
and my first try at posting a picture on an internet forum.


I found this bike on craigs list for $60. The guy i bought it from said it was around 10 to 13 years old, but im pretty sure its much older than that. The frame is a Bianchi Strada LX with suntour blaze components. Im hoping someone can give me some more information about the year and if it is japanese, italian, or from somewhere else.

Its in good mechanical condition and fits well.

actually the shifters are indexed. and shifts perfectly too.

I had to replace two spokes, and when i went into the shop, the owner pegged it late 70's early 80's. He said the crankset probably wasnt original. When i was replacing the spokes i noticed that two or three had been replaced in the past. Is this something i chould worry about?

The guy i bought it from was way to short to ride it. I forgot to ask him much about it, i was just ready to get it home and fix it up.

Im definitly psyched to have this bike. I'm pretty broke so a new bike was out of the question.

I rode it to school the other day. Got there five minutes faster, but with a sweaty back. I think im going to stick with my rack and fender equipped schwinn for commuting.

put in another 15 miles today after school, and boy is this thing fast. I had a blast riding today, i didnt want to stop. I LOVE THIS BIKE!

is it a 60cm?

I dont know the size off hand, but it fits so i figure thats all that matters.
