Hi Guys,

I have just bought a Cannondale SystemSix. It comes with a Mavic Ksyrium Elite Wheelset. I would like to upgrade this and was thinking about the following options:

-Ksyrium ES.
-Ksyrium SL.

Also, the guy from the LBS is offering me a 303 wheelset (2005) as a possible choice to upgrade. If I choose the either the ES or the 303, this will add 300 US to the final price. The SL will add 250 US. What would you do ?. What option would you choose and why ?.

Any comments about these choices would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

For only $50 more than the SL, I would choose the ES. I ended up with the ES wheels on my R800 since I apparently complained a lot about the stock wheelset and my Fiance bought me the ES wheelset without me knowing. I had planned on getting something else like the Easton Ascent or a custom wheelset, but I will admit I really like the ES so far. Now I've only had them for about two weeks, so I only have 213 miles on them but I'm happy with the performance. The ES are a little lighter than the SL with a slightly shorter front rim, carbon hub and a few Ti parts. I'm not a big fan of the all silver SLs, so I'd pay the $50 just for the black of the ES.

Black spoke always make the bike stand out.

Yes, I can choose between the Zipp 303 (2005, no dimples, clincher) or the Ksyrium ES for the same price. SL´s are offered for 250 less. The bike comes with Elite´s.
This makes more sense - so, the Elite to SL upgrade is $250 and the SL to ES upgrade is another $250?
