Couldn't find it on this site, but looking for reviews and discussions on E assist bikes. I am deep into my 7th decade. Up until 5 years ago was riding 120+ mi a week for past 45 yrs. Now can do about 75, at about 10% slower.

Looking at E assist bikes, but way too much out there to just go and purchase. Looking to hear and peruse what others like/dislike about brands,models, experiences, etc.

If there are forums, FB groups, etc. that are like what is here at RBR, appreciate any links. Tx

What type of e-bike are you thinking of. Dropbars? City bike? etc.

I rode a Specialized Turbo Vada a few weeks ago and I thought it was very nice.

A couple of octogenarians in my club are riding Specialized Creo. Very stealthy looking And its nice to see these former racers back in the front group.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I can easily find many many sites. Looking for something that is as good as this site. Something with personal recommendations, like, 'hey this is a great site for commuters, this is a great site for folding bikes, etc.'

Don't know why people are such jerks on forums. Either post an answer, or don't post. If you can't say anything nice, don't. Not so hard.

I posted 2 forums that are e-bike based and 1 that has an e-bike section that no doubt contain reviews and discussions. How does this make me a jerk...or does it make you a sensitive snowflake?

I am only in my mid 50s so I don't know if my viewpoint will be different at 75, but I would rather ride slower on a real bike than faster on an ebike. I gave up on racing a long time ago. I do have an ebike for grocery shopping and commuting to work, I would say it is a very slow but fun moped, but a terrible bike. I use it on max assist only because there is no point to any other level of assist. Riding my ebike is not cycling, period.

@cxwrench has to be taken with a grain of salt. He can be very helpful, but heavy handed. It's just his way of saying how much he likes you. Buy him a six pack and give him a back rub and he becomes a soft cuddly bunny.

Cool, more people that I know aren't part of my fan club. I'm very direct and to the point. I don't see anything I post as 'inapproproiate', I'm not swearing at people and calling them names, I'm just calling out stupidity and laziness where necessary. People are too soft these days.
