I'm looking to upgrade my road bike (generic aluminum frame, tiagra/sora) to carbon and at least 105 level.

A couple possibilities I've found:

The Cervelo has hardly been ridden, but I'd have to change the cassette and/or crank set, because it's geared too steep for me. I also don't know how the SRAM components compare to Shimano.

Which one is the better value? Thanks!

In theory the Cervelo would be, but I very much didn't like the ride of the S5 (too rough). Also if you have to replace cassettes, chains and maybe a crankset to make the s5 work the Trek then becomes winner despite being older.

It's really hard to tell much about value. The market is so crazy right now.

The Trek is... old. The wheels are original to the frame. But the groupset is not. I'd be curious why it was changed.
Those rims are really worn. Look at image #11. The grooves are pretty knarly. And the brake pads were clearly adjusted wrong. The brake grooves are so far off the brake track that they've worn the decals off!
And this guy is 'a professional mechanic and the sole owner of this bike'. I wouldn't trust a 'professional' who can't adjust brake pads.
Also, it's a size 58... and he's 5'9"? Sounds VERY suspicious. I'm 5'9" and looking at the setup probably couldn't even reach the pedals.

First off, unless you plan on replacing the wheel set right away, I would cross that Trek off the list. Those paired spoke wheels have been very prone to spoke hole cracks.

It looks like the Cervelo listing has been removed.

That leaves it between the Cannondale and the Orbea. Test ride them both and buy the one that fits you better.
