Has anyone successfully "converted" a commercial bike rack to work on a Boxster?
It looks like something should be available that would clip on the truck. Like this perhaps?

The Saris Bones can be adjusted to fit any car I've ever seen or heard of. Thefeet of the upper legs will rest on the trunk lid (or the glass), as with the one you've pictured. If that doesn't concern you, you certainly can make it work. They're light and inexpensive.

Hi, have you thought about a trailer hitch and hitch bike rack instead? Depending on how much your bikes cost it might be a good investment. You should be able to find a bolt on receiver type trailer hitch and I think Thule makes the rack.

Just another option that might be worth thinking about.

PS - thule.com has a fit guild that might help.

I had a Boxster S for several years. The only rack I found that I was even thinking about putting on the car was one designed for it as a hitch type rack.

Never did do it though. Just drove the SUV when I had to drive to a ride.
