for anyone who owns or has owned a badboy what's the largest tire you been able to use? I've heard that a 700x30 will work but I'd like to hear back if anyone has used a 700x35 and if so which tire was it?

Not really any help. I have a BB Ultra. I bought some 700-35s Continental Twisters a couple years ago thinking I would do more offroading but never put them on. They are still sitting there new in the box. If you try on a set let us know how they fit. I use the BB as a bad weather bike now and run 700x23s.with fenders.

You sure can feel the difference in weight between my 18LB road bike and the 23LB BB.(XL frame). I get a good workout when I ride the BB and climb some of the local hills.

We had a server problem this weekend that started at 5AM Saturday so I was pretty fried when I got home late Saturday night. :cryin: On Sunday I was pretty much a walking vegetable and my biggest accomplishment was finishing off a good bottle of red wine.

This is a new week though so I will keep the tire thing on my todo list.

In celebration of ordering a new Orbea Orca today :7: I stuck the tire on for you. In this case it is 700x37 tire

It fits but the new tire nubs flap against the head shock valve cap when you ride it; the tread doesn't hit. Find a lower profile valve cap or put some tape over the valve core and you will have no problems. Or you can just wait until the tire nubs wear off.
