Cannondale Tire Clearance?

I know this was just asked about a Jake a few threads down so don't hate for my unoriginal post but does anyone know if the Cannondale frame can clear a 42c tire? I have a CAAD3 frame but I would assume clearance would be similar to the Optimo. I'm hoping to throw some Ritchey zeds on it for a 200 mile gravel event and reap the benefits of drop bars over my 29er setup.

I have owned a CAAD3 cross frame and now own an Optimo cross frame. The tire clearance is the same on both bikes and it is minimal at best.
The largest tire I have been able to fit is an 700x35. I tried an 700x38 but it didn't fit. These frames are so stiff in the BB area and fairly forgiving to ride but they are lacking in the tire clearance department.
