I'm looking for the tool to remove the splined nut on Look pedal axles so you can repack them. I've had the Shimano tool, but can't find one for Look. Thanks a lot! :)

A Primitive Solution

It leaves a scuff or two, but I have always gone primitive and used good old fashioned Vise Grips on mine. Works like a champ, and the only one that knows they aren't esthetically perfect anymore is me! I have used a piece of cloth under the Vise Grip jaws too, and that does help.

I'm sure that you could get one if you just contact Veltec, the US importer of Look, Sidi, and a few other things.

Here's the straight story on these things:

The original Look pedal tool is available from the aforementioned website. However, the tool for the new Keo style pedals is different and, thus far, has not been made available (or even manufactured for that matter). Since it appears that Look is abandoning the older style and rolling with the new ones, I can't imagine them not making one. Veltec has continued to say 'Wait' for the past 6 months.... I'm still waiting..
