I'd like to know who I am but I live in a place where there are very few races and we're only devided by age not level. So actually I'm interested in TT times and speeds for cat. 1-4. Any flat TT results will do, 10 to 40k.

They vary a great deal from place to place and race to race.

My first year of racing as a CAT 5 I ran a high 58 minute 40K ITT, while a teammate of mine ran in the high 53 minute range on the same course (a flat course). On the same course the Senior Men (i.e. P/1/2) were running in the high 51 - low 52 minute range minute range.

Age catagory wise the 40-50 age bracket tends to be the fastest around here...aside from the 20 year old CAT P/1/2 guys.

A lot will vary depending on wind, corners, hills, etc. so it's really hard to say what a good time is and what isn't.

Edit:

Here are the speeds from last years Oregon State Championship ITT’s…both CAT and age category. The course is a 40K ITT and is very flat. Last year was excellent conditions with light winds and temps in the upper 70 degree range.

30-34: 1st – 27.26 mph....2nd – 24.99 mph

35-39: 1st – 26.98 mph....2nd – 26.73 mph

40-44: 1st – 28.14 mph....2nd – 28.02 mph

45-49: 1st – 27.18 mph....2nd – 26.35 mph

50-54: 1st – 26.73 mph....2nd – 26.69

55-59: 1st – 28.71 mph (Masters 55+ world champion)....2nd – 25.35

P/1/2: 1st – 29.05 mph....2nd – 28.83 mph

Cat 3: 1st – 28.22 mph....2nd – 28.11 mph

Cat 4/5: 1st – 27.22 mph....2nd – 26.69 mph

numbers should be in distinct ranges for different categories
Yes and no. You may have a Cat 2, but some are not TT specialists, so a 4 and sometimes even a 5 can have a time close to theirs or better if they're TT specialists. You might have a 5 that destroys the field, but he'll be a 4 next race, etc.

Don't worry about their speed, work on yours. If you're worried about getting pounded into the dirt, work on knowing the course and what you can do under different conditions. Besides, they tend to let the slower guys out first, so you've got the wolves constantly breathing down your neck.

Some very fast Cat 5 times are often posted up by your local Pro Tri guys racing on a one day license (and then running afterwards!)

TT times

I was thinking of doing the Enumclaw race in WA this year, which is composed of a TT, crit, and road race. I looked up the past TT times to get a sense of everyone's speed.

10K flat TT - I posted only the winning times for each group

Masters A/B - 28.7 mph
Masters C/D - 26.6 mph
Cat 3 - 27.3 mph
Cat 4 - 26.85 mph
Cat 5 - 24.8 mph
